Mission Statement
The mission of the Pottawattamie County Emergency Management Agency (PCEMA) is to support, coordinate, and maintain county and local emergency management activities, under the direction of Pottawattamie County Emergency Management Commission, in order to establish sustainable communities and assure economic opportunities for the county and citizens.

The CodeRED system serves all residents within Pottawattamie County and it Communities.
The Pottawattamie County Emergency Management Agency has implemented Emergency Communications Network's CodeRED system, a high-speed notification solution and the CodeRED Weather Warning service. This no-charge service is available to businesses and residents of Pottawattamie County and its Communities. CodeRed will allow public officials to warn citizens of pending emergencies, critical public information during disasters, recommended protective actions to take and provide notification of severe weather warnings. The system can also be used to provide other important information to communities.
