Automobile, truck, mobile homes, motor homes are titled. Boat trailers or other type trailers, if over 2000 lbs are titled. Boat or other type trailers under 2000 lbs are issued a registration.
Taxes are due in September. You have the option of paying full year or in two equal installments. First installment due by September 30th. Second installment due by March 31st.
2nd half Property Taxes are due by March 31st. If mailing payment, please allow sufficient time to be postmarked by March 31st. Interest is at the rate of 1.5 % (one and one-half percent) per month starting April 1st and October 1st.

The 2013 annual tax sale will be held by the Pottawattamie County Treasurer on Monday, June 17, 2013. This year the sale will be at The Mid-America Center. It is located at One Arena Way, Council Bluffs, Iowa (wwwmidamericacenter.com for directions). The tax sale will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and will continue until every parcel has been offered for sale.
